This drum was commissioned to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces, and is a symbol of the Korean people's hopes for the next 60 years. It is inscribed with a tiger, which symbolizes the valor and strength of the Korean military. The ring around the drum was shaped with the earth and water gathered on battle sites around Korea, collected by university students.
